Updates from NightinGail Photography

It has been a bit of an hectic year. NightinGail Photography has undergone a bit of an overhaul with respect to our website, logo and blog. We have been delighted to be working with ProPhoto and www.lalunecreative.com who customized our new site. A big thanks to everyone who took us under their wing to get things up and running.

Our new logo was created and designed by Stevie M from Logomotive. He got exactly the style that we were looking for — a bit vintage with a modern twist. They were a great company to work with and took the time to make sure that our new style is completely ours.

On a business note, NightinGail Photography is now part of DWK Enterprises. We are delighted to be a part of this growing company.  Nothing really changes from an artistic point of view;  Gail and the NightinGail associates will continue to photograph our clients.  Gail will  handle all the bookings and correspondence, create custom albums and wall art and work with our fabulous suppliers like Album Epoca, PicFoundry, WHCC and others.  The big change is that our accounting function will be handled by the staff at DWK.  We could not be happier. Bookkeeping drives me crazy!!

For those of our clients who have been following us, you have probably noticed that our blogging was very sparce last year.  My business partner and husband had some medical issues in the fall and something had to go — unfortunately, it was blogging.  This year (2015) we are going to do better.  My DH is doing great and we are moving forward.

NightinGail Photography has added lifestyle cottage portrait sessions to our services.  We were thrilled to be invited to photograph a number of families in our home area at Kennisis Lake and the Muskokas — just by word of mouth last summer.  We have enjoyed getting to know these families and are looking forward to shooting them again this year.  We even had a family book us from Austria when they were coming to Lake of Bays.  It is a real pleasure to photograph these wonderful children, parents, grandparents and great-grandparents.

You may notice that not all of our previous blogs have been migrated because we are in the process of the revamping and it’s just better for our SEO to have a cleaner site.  Again, thanks to Matt Hudson from LaLune Creative for all the help.

Our Client Proofing area is also undergoing a revamp and we hope that have all those files migrated early next week.  If you are looking for any of your digital images, please let us know and we will move them as quickly as possible.  All of your images are safe and are archived off-site.  Our new Proofing area is going to be easier to use and will assist you in creating your albums and wall art quicker than the old Client Area.
